The Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Jane Brophy, will attend the Civic Remembrance Service in Hale.
The Mayor said:
It is vitally important we remember all the members of our Armed Forces who have died or been injured, to protect us and to protect our way of life.
Without the brave actions and ultimate sacrifices made by our Military, we would not enjoy the freedom we now have. It’s therefore right that we take a moment to pause and reflect on the heroic sacrifices made by our Armed Forces.
I would urge everyone to attend one of the services in our borough in order to pay our respects and give our thanks in Remembrance of the fallen.
