Overview
We have strategic active travel intentions for a North Active Travel Corridor.
The route starts at junction 7 of the M60. It goes along the A56, Talbot Road and Old Chester Road to the Cornbrook junction.
The route along Talbot Road is well used by commuters and students.
We want to provide a quality corridor to access:
- places of work
- education settings
- leisure facilities
- key public transport points
The Mayor’s Challenge Fund (MCF)
The Mayor’s Challenge Fund (MCF) was established to enhance the quality of the cycling and walking infrastructure across Greater Manchester.
The fund has the aim of making walking and cycling the natural choices for shorter journeys.
For this project we have bid for MCF funding.
