Timescales for the project

Carrington Relief Road
Following Executive Board approval of Route F in September 2021, work has been underway to understand the area, the potential environmental impacts of the scheme and developing the design for the relief road.
Consultation on the proposals was undertaken in January and February 2025. Following this, the feedback was reviewed. A planning application for the Carrington Relief Road was submitted in December 2025.
