Plan your ceremony content

Once your notice has been given, you can start to plan your ceremony content. The process varies depending on the venue you have booked. 

Venue in Trafford

Ceremony venues in Trafford include:

  • Sale Town Hall
  • Trafford Register Office
  • Approved venue in Trafford

We will contact you with the information you need to enhance and personalise your ceremony. The options available will depend on what you have chosen for your ceremony place, date and time. 

You will be able to read through the information and submit your options to us in advance of your ceremony.

Venue outside of Trafford

Contact the register office for the district in which the venue resides, who will advise you on ceremony content.

Place of worship

You must collect your Marriage/Civil Partnership schedule, from the Register Office where the religious building resides, no sooner than 28 clear days, after you have given notice. 

You need to deliver it to the Minister at the Religious Building where your ceremony is taking place. 

The minister will discuss ceremony content with you.

Venue abroad

You must collect your CNI (Certificate of No Impediment), from the Register Office where notice was given, no sooner than 28 clear days, after you have given notice. 

You need to contact the authorities of the relevant country to establish what steps you now need to take.
