There is a legal requirement to report certain work-related accidents, diseases, and dangerous occurrences.
The HSE website has guidance about which types of incidents need reporting.
How to report an accident
You can report an accident online on the HSE website.
All incidents can be reported online. However, if you are reporting fatal and major injuries, you can make a report by calling the HSE Incident Contact Centre on 0345 300 9923. The line is open from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
