Animal welfare licensing

You need a licence to run an animal welfare business in Trafford. This includes:

• home boarding
• doggy day care
• dog breeding
• pet shops
• riding establishments
• keeping or training animals for exhibition

Licences are issued under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018.

A single licence covers multiple activities if you run more than one.
