Renew a taxi vehicle licence

You must renew your hackney carriage or private hire vehicle licence before it expires.

  1. Prepare your documents

    Show your vehicle meets age, safety and insurance requirements.

  2. Pay the fee

    Pay £183 and keep your receipt reference to use on the form.

  3. Submit your application

    Complete the renewal form and include your payment reference.

  4. Decision

    We will review your application and contact you with the outcome.

  5. Grant of licence

    If granted, collect your new plate and licence from Trafford Town Hall.
