Our documentation guidance for licensing provides extra information on what we will or will not accept when applying for a licence.
You will need to provide:

- an age test certificate (dated within 6 months). If your private hire vehicle is over 6 years old, or your hackney carriage is over 15 years old
- your V5 log book (front page and page 1)
- your insurance certificate and, if you are a fleet owner, your insurance schedule
- an HPI check (full PDF, dated within 3 months)
- a Basic DBS certificate (for each director if you are a company, or if you do not hold a Trafford driver licence) dated within 12 months
We will not renew licences for vehicles that have been written off in any category.
