We must make sure there are enough childcare places across Trafford. This includes funded early education places which children can access from the term after they turn 9 months old.
We check supply and demand, looking at things like:
- Number of local places available
- Occupancy levels and vacancies
- Population changes, birth rates and new housing developments
We publish a childcare sufficiency assessment every two years.
