Homelessness Strategy

Our Homelessness Strategy sets out our priorities for tackling homelessness in Trafford. It also details the actions we will take to achieve the priorities.

The vision for the Homelessness Strategy 2025-2030 is:

“Working together to prevent homelessness and eradicate rough sleeping in Trafford”

The five strategic priorities are:

1. Prevent homelessness in Trafford.
2. Increase the supply of good quality temporary accommodation and reduce the use of bed and breakfast accommodation.
3. Ensure homeless households can access suitable settled move-on accommodation.
4. Support residents to maintain their tenancies to avoid repeat homelessness.
5. Work towards eradicating rough sleeping in Trafford.

Homelessness strategy annual statements

We will carry out a review of our Homelessness Strategy every year. This allows us to make sure the strategy is still relevant and to track progress of the delivery.  

The findings of each review will be published in an Annual Statement.

The Annual Statement will detail:

• What we have achieved
• What we are working on
• what we still have left to do

Each Annual Statement will include updated analysis of Trafford's housing market and homelessness data.
