Our Housing Strategy 2025 – 2030 sets out our housing priorities for the borough. It also explains how we will achieve them.

The four priorities are:

  1. Increase the supply of housing in Trafford and build more affordable homes
  2. Ensure all residents can obtain and sustain suitable housing in the borough
  3. Ensure homes meet current and future needs in Trafford
  4. Address inequalities by creating neighbourhoods of choice that promote inclusion, health and wellbeing

The Housing Strategy forms part of a comprehensive approach to delivering housing growth in the borough.

Housing Strategy Annual Statements

We will carry out a review of our Housing Strategy every year. This will allow us to make sure the strategy is still relevant and to track the progress of delivery.  

The findings of the review will be published in an annual statement. Each annual statement will include updated analysis of Trafford's housing market and an updated delivery plan.
