The Trafford Climate Change Network
Tackling climate change requires joint action.
To support this, we set up the Trafford Climate Change Network (TCCN). This is a network of organisations across Trafford that have an interest in tackling the climate crisis.
The Network includes businesses, charities, the voluntary and community sector, sports clubs, public sector organisations, and many others.
Role of the TCCN
- Demonstrate leadership through action: TCCN members work to reduce their emissions and increase their resilience to climate change. The TCCN network is also currently preparing its first annual report.
- Influence others to act: Members engage with clients, customers, suppliers, fans, and tenants to promote climate action.
- Act as a forum for connection and maximise collaboration: The TCCN brings together stakeholders and organisations from across sectors to support Trafford’s climate action agenda.
- Move from advocacy to action: A core group meets quarterly to share information, discuss progress, and agree on priorities. Ad-hoc groups also take forward specific issues.
- Wider communications: The network promotes and supports wider communication of climate action across the borough.
Annual report
The TCCN has published its first annual report, covering the period to the end of 2025.
It demonstrates the great work that is being done across Trafford to address climate change. The report includes a series of case studies of climate action that is being driven forward by TCCN members.
