Carers in Trafford may be invited to take part in the Survey of Adult Carers in England, which forms part of the Government’s ongoing National Carers Strategy.
The survey, commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care, is being distributed by Trafford Carers Centre on behalf of Trafford Council.
Residents who provide informal or unpaid care to a partner, family member, friend or neighbour will receive the survey by post.
The survey will be sent out to all carers and must be returned by the date shown on the form.
The aim of the national survey is to better understand the experiences of unpaid carers – people who provide support to a family member or friend due to illness, disability, mental health needs or substance misuse.
The information collected will help the Government and local councils to plan and improve services for carers, ensuring that the support available reflects what carers say they need most.
Results from the survey are used nationally to monitor progress in supporting carers, and locally to help shape Trafford’s services and priorities for the coming year.
Taking part in the survey is entirely voluntary, and responses are anonymous. However, every response makes a difference, helping Trafford Council and Trafford Carers Centre understand what is working well and where improvements could be made.
Carers who receive the survey are encouraged to take the time to share their views and experiences.
