Manchester Magistrates approved a partial closure order for the property in Hartington Close after neighbours were subjected to noise, fighting in the street, threats, drug-related activity and an incident in which a meat cleaver was brandished.
The Council’s Community Safety team worked together with Greater Manchester Police and the landlord of the home, Guinness Trust. Nobody but the resident is now allowed at the flat.
Cllr Rose Thompson, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Communities and Safety, said:
“Protecting communities from crime and antisocial behaviour is our priority and our team has worked together with partners to restore peace and calm in this area. We will continue to monitor the situation.”
