The house on Norton Street had been the source of numerous complaints relating to anti-social behaviour, nuisance, and criminality.
Trafford Council’s Community Safety Team applied for the order after monitoring the property on CCTV and working with Greater Manchester Police to execute a search warrant.
A substantial amount of suspected Class A and Class B drugs and paraphernalia were recovered and a man was taken into police custody.
The Partial Closure Order is now restricting access by those associated with the criminal and anti-social behaviour that has caused concern locally.
A spokesperson for Trafford Council said:
“This action will provide immediate respite to neighbouring residents and to prevent further misuse of the premises. Compliance will be monitored and supported through joint working with the police. We acknowledge the patience shown by residents while this matter was dealt with.”
