The third Trafford Moving Conference will take place on Tuesday 14 July at University Academy 92, from 9:45am to 3:30pm.
Health professionals, community organisations, leisure providers and people who work in sport are all invited to book a place.
The event will focus on the Trafford Moving Strategy and ways to connect primary healthcare including GP surgeries with people and places offering different ways to take physical activity – helping residents to move more and live healthier lives.
A keynote address from Jane Dennison, founder of the MileShyClub, a local charity promoting active lifestyles, will set the tone for the day.
Scott Hartley from research and engagement agency Press Red will talk about recent surveys into people’s exercise and activity habits in the borough.
Cllr Eve Parker, Executive Member for Leisure, Arts, Culture and Heritage at Trafford Council, said:
“We want as many people as possible to come along, familiar faces and new ones, so we that we all have the opportunity to strike up important conversations and collaborate across sectors and organisations.
“The aim is to pool our collective insight and expertise to turn into real, achievable actions to boost health and wellbeing in Trafford.”
