Work is under way on a landmark development to deliver 52 new homes to the heart of Stretford town centre.
Contractor J Greenwood has started the first phase of infrastructure works at the Lacy Street site opposite the former Mall, marking the beginning of construction activity on the development.
The development - Omnia, Stretford - will continue to progress throughout 2026 and 2027 as the new neighbourhood takes shape.
Part of Trafford Council's wider vision for the regeneration of Stretford town centre, Omnia, Stretford will provide a mix of high-quality two, three and four-bedroom homes in a highly sustainable location adjacent to Stretford Metrolink stop and the newly enhanced King Street.
The development will deliver:
A key feature of the development is the reintroduction of Bannister Street as a landscaped route linking Chester Road, Edge Lane and the Bridgewater Canal, helping to improve connectivity through the town centre and encouraging walking and cycling.
Trafford Developments, a division of Trafford Council, has appointed JP & Brimelow as sole sales agent for the development. With a strong presence across South Manchester and extensive experience of the local residential market, the firm will lead the marketing and sale of the scheme. JP & Brimelow is now inviting early enquiries from prospective purchasers interested in learning more about the development.
