How we consult on planning policy

We consult residents, businesses and organisations as part of preparing Trafford’s strategic planning documents. This includes the Local Plan, Neighbourhood Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs).

Our approach is set out in the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This explains how we involve people in preparing planning policy and in deciding planning applications.
