We consult residents, businesses and organisations as part of preparing Trafford’s strategic planning documents. This includes the Local Plan, Neighbourhood Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs).

Current consultations
Trafford Local Plan: Regulation 19 Publication Stage
The Council has published its proposed Local Plan for comment before it is submitted to the Government for examination. This stage is known as the Publication Stage or Regulation 19.
The period of comment is 6 August to 23:59 on 18 September 2026.
