Charging an electric vehicle (EV) at home

Charging EVs at home is often the most convenient and cost-effective option. However, some may not have the facilities (such as a driveway and external charging point) to charge at home. You don’t have priority access over the space in front of your property.

If you can’t charge at home, charging at work or public charging locations are alternatives.

We do not currently permit the installation of infrastructure on council owned or maintained footways and footpaths for the purposes of charging EV’s.
