Highway improvement programme

Every year we undertake an annual capital programme to maintain carriageway (including cycleways) and footway / pavement surfaces throughout Trafford.

Works are identified for the annual programme based on a priority ranking system. This is in accordance with our Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan (HIAMP).

Properties and businesses potentially impacted by any schemes will receive relevant communication for all schemes in advance of works commencing.

The start dates of all highway improvement schemes are subject to weather conditions. 

All proposed scheme extents are indicative only. They may be adjusted as schemes are designed in line with site conditions and cost estimates. In rare cases, schemes may be postponed or deferred. For example if emergency utility works are required.
