Strategic Planning Privacy Notice

Our core data protection obligations and commitments are set out in the Council’s primary privacy notice.

This notice provides additional privacy information for contacts on the Strategic Planning database for consultations on planning policy.

Purpose

We collect, or obtain your personal information for the following purpose:

• To notify you of a consultation on planning policy and inform you how to respond to the consultation.

In order to carry out these purposes we collect and obtain:

• Name of individual,
• job title
• name of organisation (if relevant)
• email address
• postal address
• phone number

Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for processing your personal information is: 

• To fulfil the legal duty to carry out consultations on planning policy and Local Plan documents.
• Section 71A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990

Information sharing/recipients

We will never share personal information about you with other organisations.

All the decisions we make about your data involve human intervention and nothing is automated.
