What a crisis payment may include

Part of: Crisis payments

Crisis payments may include:

  • a supermarket voucher,
  • a gas or electric payment,
  • the Community Hub purchasing an essential item on your behalf.

Examples of the support you can receive depending on your circumstances may include:

  • food
  • toiletries and personal hygiene items
  • sanitary products
  • essential items for a baby or child
  • fuel payments
  • energy top ups
  • bedding
  • white goods such as a fridge, cooker or washing machine
  • kitchen equipment and small electrical items
  • essential furniture such as beds
  • essential travel to get to work, education or a health appointment
  • a basic mobile phone

The Community Hub will take time to understand your circumstances and what support you are in most immediate need of.

The Hub will be able to identify alternative support for less immediate items you may need that cannot be awarded through a crisis payment.
