If you think you have food poisoning, visit your GP. They will carry out lab tests to find out what caused the symptoms.
Without lab test results, the Council is limited to what action it can take.
What we investigate
We investigate food poisoning and other foodborne illnesses, which are notifiable. Notifiable diseases may include:
- Salmonella
- E.Coli
- Cryptosporidium
- Campylobacter
- Giardia
Report food poisoning
You report food poisoning from a Trafford premises to Environmental Health. An environmental health officer may visit the premises and decide if action is required.
