Approval of food business

If you operate the following types of stand-alone food premises, you may need to be approved by us:

• meat processing plants
• meat preparation plants
• minced meat processing operations and mechanically separated meat processing plants
• cold stores

Next steps

Our target date for dealing with these applications is 28 days. Don't assume your application has been approved if this time has passed.
