If your vehicle is imported, it must have either:
- an IVA/SVA marker on the V5 log book, or
- an IVA certificate
If the V5 does not show this, you must obtain a basic IVA certificate, even if the vehicle is more than 10 years old.
Companies and non-Trafford drivers
If you are a company, or an individual who does not hold a Trafford driver licence, you must provide a Basic DBS certificate (dated within 12 months) for each director.
