Our documentation guidance for licensing provides extra information on what we will or will not accept when applying for a licence.
You will need to provide:
- V5 log book (page 1 and 2) or completed Green Slip
- compliance certificate (dated within 6 months) - Book an appointment on the KAR automotive website
- bill of sale
- tint test certificate (list of Trafford nominated garages)
- HPI check (full PDF, dated within 3 months)
- insurance certificate
- insurance schedule (fleet owners only)
- LOLER certificate (for wheelchair accessible vehicles)
- if the vehicle carries more than 4 passengers: photos of the inside and outside
If you cannot provide all documents, your application will be placed on hold until we receive your documents.
