What happens after you request a review

Part of: Anti-social behaviour (ASB) case review

Contents

Within 5 working days of getting your request, we’ll write to let you know we’ve received it.

  • If your request doesn’t meet the criteria, we’ll explain why.
  • If your request does meet the criteria, we’ll start the review.

We aim to give you a full response within 20 working days. If it’s going to take longer, we’ll let you know. We may contact you during the review to ask for more details or to better understand what you think would help fix the problem.

How the review works

The Strategic Manager for Crime and ASB (or a qualified person) will contact the organisations involved (like the police, housing, or council teams) and ask them to send us any relevant info about your case. They have 10 working days to respond.

Once the info is in, a small panel will meet to look at it.  The panel is made up of up to three people, including the Strategic Manager as the Chair. None of them will have been involved in your original complaints.

The panel may meet in person or discuss things by phone or email.

Review outcomes

The panel will decide either:

  • More needs to be done, and they’ll make recommendations to the relevant organisations

We’ll write to you with the outcome. If more action is needed, you’ll get an action plan showing:

  • What’s been recommended
  • Which organisation is responsible
  • When it should be done by
