Your telecoms provider (Virgin Media, BT, etc) should contact you before the switchover to discuss what you need to do to make sure your service isn’t interrupted. They will be able to confirm the services you currently use that will be impacted by these changes.

Beware of scams
The switchover itself should not cost you anything beyond your broadband plan. Be cautious of anyone asking for payment for equipment or services related to the changeover.
