Animal welfare complaints
You can contact the Environmental Health Service about animal health and welfare (including on farms or at pet shops, stables or boarding establishments) by calling 0161 912 4916. All calls are treated confidentially.
For non-urgent matters, email animal.welfare@trafford.gov.uk. Do not use this email for emergencies.
It may not be possible to fully investigate anonymous complaints since we need certain details to take action. If possible, please provide a contact phone number so an officer can respond to you.
Domestic animals (pets)
To report a mistreated, neglected, injured, or distressed animal, contact the RSPCA online or call the cruelty and neglect line on 0300 123 8960. The phone line is open every day from 8am to 8pm.
Horses and ponies
For welfare complaints regarding horses, ponies, and other equines, contact World Horse Welfare.
Wild animals
The Police deal with cases of wildlife crime. Read more about wildlife crime on the Greater Manchester Police website.
