The funding, which is open to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) groups as well as constituted community organisations, is designed to support initiatives that make a real difference to local people’s lives. Applications must be submitted by 31 October, 2025.
Previous rounds of funding have supported a wide range of local projects, including:
- Altrincham Street Angels, providing support to people on nights out and keeping town centres safe.
- Programmes working with young people to prevent offending and provide positive opportunities.
- Initiatives supporting victims of domestic abuse and helping them rebuild their lives.
A spokesperson for Trafford Council said:
“Our voluntary, faith and community sector is an essential partner in keeping Trafford safe, supporting the most vulnerable and helping our communities to thrive. We are proud to fund projects that make a real difference – from Street Angels keeping our town centres safe, to youth programmes that give young people positive opportunities, to services supporting victims of domestic abuse.
“This new round of grants is a chance for more groups to access funding and deliver the innovative projects that make Trafford stronger, safer and more inclusive.”
