Residents are invited to a community drop in event to discuss plans to regenerate the area around Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium.
The Trafford Council Wharfside Strategic Masterplan event takes place on Thursday 23 October at Gorse Hill Studios in Stretford.
Residents can drop in at any time between 3pm and 6pm to chat to the masterplan team and hear more details about the plans for the area.
The Masterplan will complement Manchester United’s plans for a new 100,000 seater stadium and covers land between the Manchester – Liverpool railway and the Manchester Ship Canal. However, the masterplan team will not have any information on the new stadium proposals, which will be consulted on separately.
A spokesperson for Trafford Council, said:
“We would like as many residents as possible to come to the drop in to discuss the Council’s Wharfside Strategic Masterplan. Working with partners, we have plans for new homes, new neighbourhoods, new businesses, new jobs, new green spaces and new community facilities. It is important that residents are able to have their say on these plans.”
