Since launching six months ago, WorkWell Trafford has provided personalised, one-to-one support to 135 people who were at risk of unemployment or struggling to stay in work due to physical or mental health issues.
The programme helps people build confidence, manage their wellbeing, and explore options that suit their circumstances — whether that’s preparing to return to work, starting self-employment, or getting involved in training or volunteering.
Delivered locally and accessible both online and in person, WorkWell Trafford offers practical and emotional support to help residents move forward at their own pace.
Trafford Council’s Director of Public Health, Helen Gollins, said:
“WorkWell Trafford is about helping people find a way forward that works for them. Whether someone is rebuilding confidence, exploring new opportunities or managing their health at work, it’s great to see the difference this personalised support is already making.”
WorkWell Trafford is open to anyone living or working in the borough who has a physical or mental health condition affecting their ability to work.
