The event is at Stretford Public Hall on Thursday 18 June from 8am to 11.30am and businesspeople in the borough can now sign up online to attend.

Following the success of previous sessions, the increasingly popular fixture will bring together local businesses for a morning of insightful discussion, meaningful connection and opportunity to grow.

Participants can enjoy a light breakfast while hearing how major investment and development across Trafford will shape the future of our local economy – and what it means for local companies and traders – as well as the latest on hiring apprenticeships and achieving social impact. This time, guest speakers are:

  • Cllr Tom Ross, Leader of Trafford Council, providing the latest updates on growth and future plans.
  • Tracey Wood, Chief Commercial Officer at Trafford & Stockport College Group, talking about apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Sarah Power, Principal Inclusive Economy and Communities Officer (Advanced Manufacturing and Materials) at Trafford Council, discussing modern work experience.
  • Zahra Shah of Match My Project, a new, user-friendly platform designed to support businesses to maximise their social value contributions while effectively addressing local community needs.

After the speeches, from 10:30am, there will be an hour of informal networking for people to build connections and share ideas with fellow attendees.

For more information, email business@trafford.gov.uk. The event is open to Trafford-based businesses, who will be given priority access if the event is oversubscribed.

Cllr Liz Patel, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, said:

“We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new ones. Our business breakfasts have become really popular and it’s great to experience the buzz of excitement and camaraderie in the room.

“They are a great way for businesspeople to find out more about developments in the borough that could affect them and the way they operate and to meet other, likeminded people. Staging such events ties in with our Council priority to support a thriving economy.”
