The competition aims to showcase Trafford through the eyes of the people who know it best.

From favourite green spaces and local landmarks to community life, nature and everyday street scenes, the Council is looking for images that capture the character and diversity of the borough.

Winning photographs will be featured on the Trafford Council website homepage, giving visitors an authentic glimpse of life across Trafford, seen by tens of thousands of people each month.

The competition is open to all ages, with separate categories for under-18s and adults. Entries from anyone under 18 must be submitted by a parent, guardian, teacher or school.

A judging panel of Trafford-based photographers, creatives, and council representatives will assess the entries.

Leader of Trafford Council, Cllr Tom Ross, said:

“Trafford is a borough full of character, history and vibrant communities, and we want our website to reflect that.

“This competition is a chance for residents to share the places and moments that make Trafford special to them. Whether it’s a well-known landmark or a snapshot of everyday life, I’m looking forward to seeing the borough through the lens of those who know it best.”

Entrants can submit up to three photographs. Images must be taken in Trafford, be the entrant’s own original work and reflect life in the borough. All entries must be submitted through the online entry form.

The competition closes on Sunday 28 June.
