Advisory disabled parking bay

This is introduced in most cases where the application is successful for a disabled parking bay close to someone’s residence. It is not an enforceable parking bay, so we do not have any powers to act against people without a Blue Badge parking in the bay. 

They have been proven to be generally effective, and are respected by a majority of road users. This type of bay does not require a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) so may be quicker to introduce than others. 

We do not introduce this type of disabled parking bay within specific areas already covered by a permit parking scheme.
