Before Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) were introduced in 2004, the Council adopted a series of supplementary planning guidance (SPG) notes.
These documents support the policies of the former Unitary Development Plan (UDP). Although they are older, they remain consistent with Trafford’s Core Strategy and are still material considerations in deciding planning applications.
The Planning Committee resolved on 9 February 2012 to retain these documents for development management purposes until they are reviewed.
