Information
Opened in 1959 the chapel at Altrincham is multi denominational and all religious emblems can be removed on request. There is seating for approximately 110 people with standing room for a further 30 at the rear. Where large numbers of mourners are present, the service can be relayed to a screen in the entrance hall so everyone can participate.
There is an electronic organ, a computerised music system and induction loop system. The chapel is wheelchair accessible and a wheelchair is available if required.
The content of a funeral service can be to your own preference and your funeral director and officiant can work with you to tailor the content to your specific requirements. The music system is provided by Wesley Music and they can usually source any published music you may require.
There are two car parks available with designated disabled parking spaces both in the car park and near the chapel.
Location
The crematorium is signed from the A56 at Broadheath and Bowdon near junction 7 on the M56. It is approximately 3 miles from Altrincham train/tram interchange. The bus route from the interchange is No 247 and runs every half hour taking about 20 minutes to the junction of Sinderland Lane and Whitehouse Lane. Please ask the driver to notify you when you reach the stop on Sinderland Lane.
It is about 300 meters walk to the crematorium.
