Travel for Greater Manchester (TFGM) active community and family fun day

Join TFGM in John Leigh Park to celebrate the completion of a new pedestrian and cycle crossing on Dunham Road, opposite St Margaret's Church.

The event is to help raise awareness of the new crossing infrastructure and the developments of the Bee Network in Trafford and across Greater Manchester and the local active travel opportunities and benefits of active travel.

There will be guided walks and guided cycle rides on routes from Altrincham to John Leigh Park where there will be

  • Cycle training
  • Information stalls
  • Second hand bikes for sale
  • Bike demonstrations and servicing
  • Catering
  • A climbing wall
  • Face painting
  • Bouncy castles

From 12 noon - 4pm

Easter Scavenger Hunt

Join in the scavenger easter hunt in Davyhulme Park and win a chocolate prize when you’ve completed the hunt. There will be a tombola, raffle, cake stall and Easter craft stall.

Watch the Girlguiding Sale Division and Sale District Scouts St George’s Day Procession and join in the activities at their Family Fun Day in Worthington Park.

Children’s fairground rides, bouncy castle, stalls, games and soft archery.

Urmston and District Scouts annual St George's Parade

Pick the best spot to watch the Urmston and District Scouts annual St George's Parade through Urmston on St George’s Day.

The Parade will start at the entrance of Davyhulme Park on Winchester Road and finish at the 5th Urmston Scout HQ.

Parade: 2pm-2:45pm

The rest of the event will be held at the 5th Urmston Scout HQ

Looking for a new and exciting activity where you can get some exercise, fresh air and hopefully some sunshine?

Then join the free Urmston women’s rounders sessions in Abbotsfield Park.

Rounders is a striking and fielding game where you work as a team, socialise, and of course have fun!
