Holocaust Memorial Day

Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) – takes place every year to remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of people killed under Nazi persecution of other groups, and during more recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

Each year people come together to remember and learn more about the past. You can learn more about what happened during this time on the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust website.

The next Holocaust Memorial Day service will be held at Sale Waterside Arts Centre on Thursday 25 January 2024. The programme is planned by two volunteers Sandra and Barby who each year deliver a thought provoking and compassionate service.

This service will be guest list only so if you would like to attend email RSVP@trafford.gov.uk no later than the 15 December and a member of the team will be in touch with you.
