The Role

In this role, you’ll work towards your level 3 IT Support qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide unwavering technical support to engineers through various communication channels, including phone, email, instant messaging (WhatsApp and Teams), video calls, and efficient ticketing systems.
  • Utilise a variety of RMS to remotely access screens, keeping track of Mifi devices, network connections, and content display. Conduct thorough equipment testing during internal configurations.
  • Physically engage with hardware, booting up, powering, configuring content, and adjusting settings for digital screens. Establish individual networks for each screen using Mifi devices. Skillfully install, configure, and upgrade 4G routers.
  • Seamlessly install and configure Android media players, ensuring precise tracking of data usage for enhanced performance.
  • Conduct software updates, including media player and RMS updates. Navigate the intricacies of wireless network connections, creating SSIDs, and connecting devices using Mifi devices.
  • Champion automatic disaster recovery by strategically saving data to servers, eliminating reliance on local storage. This pivotal responsibility ensures the resilience of their IT infrastructure.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

  • £15,000 per annum
  • Working Monday-Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
  • 35 hours per week with 1 hour lunch break
  • 24 days holidays plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • A driving license with access to your own car is required for this role
  • 12 months clean driving license due to driving the company van
  • Flexibility to work weekends as the role progresses
  • Happy with manually moving equipment
  • Proactive individual
  • Strong communication skills including over the phone
  • Willingness to learn
  • A grade 4/C at GCSE in English and Maths is required for this role
