About us:

Stretford Public Hall is a community-owned, multi-purpose building. Our aim is to create space for good things to happen in Stretford.

The hall is run by Friends of Stretford Public Hall, who have owned the building since a community asset transfer in 2015. We are a charitable Community Benefit Society which is a type of co-operative. We have over 800 members.

We provide accessible community space and deliver our own programme of events and activities, including arts activities, live music nights, community cinema, and health and wellbeing activities.

We are also one of six Community Hubs operating across Trafford. We work closely with Trafford’s health and social care teams, to provide support and access to services for local Stretford residents.

Any profit we make from our activities is reinvested into the running and restoration of the hall. Download our vision & values.

About the role:

We need Hall Helpers with a variety of skills and interests to support the Hall as needed. You could help with building maintenance, or gardening, or arts and crafts projects. You could help us spread the word about the Hall's activities by delivering leaflets or gathering information. Or you could have a special skill which we really need - like a sound engineer. Let us know what you’re interested in and we’ll match you to the right project!
