About the course:

ESOL skills can be lifechanging for those who speak other languages living in the UK. We provide ESOL from Entry 1 to Entry 3,across the 3 categories of Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening. If you would like to develop your English skills for work and everyday life, this course is perfect for you.

The course covers four areas:

Reading:

  • Read and understand short texts on familiar topics accurately.
  • Read and obtain information from every day sources

Writing:

  • Communicate information and opinions with some adaptation to the intended audience. 

Speaking and listening:

  • Listen and respond to spoken language
  • Speak to communicate information, feelings and opinions on familiar topics
  • Engage in discussion.

Eligibility criteria:

  • To qualify for an assessment , learners must be able to write their name and recognise the alphabet.
  • 19+
  • Unemployed
  • Greater Manchester resident
