Volunteer Fundraiser with Read Easy Manchester South & West

About us:

Read Easy is a national literacy charity which trains volunteers to work one-to-one with local adults who struggle to read. Our group operates throughout Trafford and also in Wythenshawe.

About the role:

To pay for the training, the associated reading materials and to cover our running costs, we need to raise about 4-5K per annum. We need a volunteer Fundraiser therefore to contact local grant-awarding bodies to apply for funds. Experience of fundraising is useful but not essential as we have been raising funds for the last 5 years and we have many contacts and leads. As applications for funds are online, basic computer skills are needed. This work takes place from home although the Fundraiser is part of the Management Team which meets every two months.
