Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Climate Change & Environmental Awareness

About the course:

We all have the power to make a difference and create a more sustainable future for the next generation. This course will teach you all about the principles of climate change & environmental awareness so you can make a positive change in a time where the environment is facing the biggest challenge ever. You will learn about the impact of pollution, the barriers to a sustainable future and how to challenge these barriers. You will also learn about the advantages of renewable energy and how to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints for a better world.

You will achieve a total of 3 units;

• Understand climate change, sustainability and environmental protection
• Understand industry and the environment.
• Understand resource efficiency and waste management

This self-learning course has been developed to fit around you and your lifestyle. Assignments can be completed online or in a workbook format. You will be assigned a tutor who will be available to offer guidance and support through your learning journey. 

Please note: you can only access the course using a laptop, desktop or tablet, as both the information booklet and questions are accessed online, mobile phones are not suitable for the platform.

Eligibility criteria:

• 19+
• On means tested benefits (Universal Credit/JSA) or low income, less than £20,888 per year
• Lived in the UK for 3 years 
• Greater Manchester resident
