Park for free after three in Trafford!

Shoppers and visitors will receive an early Christmas present when Trafford Council's 'Free after 3' parking scheme launches across the borough.
Parking will be free after 3pm in all Council-owned car parks and on-street locations* between Monday and Saturday, (parking is already free all day on Sundays) from Saturday 17 November.

The scheme, which will run right through until 12 January 2019, aims to help shoppers and visitors to the area save on their costs, while providing a boost to local businesses by encouraging more people to Trafford's town centres and villages.
The start of the initiative coincides with the big Christmas lights switch-on in Altrincham, which takes place in the Stamford Quarter on November 17 from 4.30pm.
Councillor Stephen Adshead, Executive member for Environment, Air Quality and Climate Change, said: “The build up to the festive period is a vital trading time for lots of businesses, and 'Free after 3' is just one way in which the council is working to support them.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy what our town centres and villages have to offer to shoppers and visitors alike.

“The Council is continuing to develop its town centres. The success of what has been achieved so far can be seen in how vibrant and popular our town centres are."

Yellow stickers will be visible at on-street pay and display machines across the borough and in council-owned car parks where the scheme is in operation.
