Trafford Council launches consultation over plans for Neighbourhood Forum

Trafford Council has launched a consultation over proposals to establish a Neighbourhood Forum to produce a future Neighbourhood Plan for Flixton.

A residents group - My Flixton Neighbourhood Planning Group - has submitted an application to the Council for permission to establish the Forum.

In an area that does not have a town or parish council, a Neighbourhood Forum must be established in order to produce a Neighbourhood Plan and act as the legal qualifying body for plan production.

The Council has now launched a consultation asking the public their views on the proposed boundary and Forum constitution.

The application and comment form can be found and completed online via the Council’s consultation page at www.trafford.gov.uk/local-plan-consultations and the documents can also be viewed during normal opening hours at Trafford Town Hall, Sale Waterside Offices, Woodsend Library and Urmston Library.

Where possible, comments should be submitted electronically via the online survey found on the consultation page or via email to localplan.consultation@trafford.gov.uk Where this is not possible, comments can also be posted to Strategic Planning, Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Manchester, M32 0TH.

Comments are invited from Friday 20 December 2019 until 5pm on Friday 31 January when the consultation will close. If you have any enquiries regarding the consultation, please email localplan.consultation@trafford.gov.uk or call 0161 912 3149 and a member of the Strategic Planning Team will be able to assist.
