Council launches new hub for developers

A new developer hub aimed specifically at those wanting to build in Trafford has been launched by Trafford Council.

The hub, which is conveniently situated on the Council’s website, brings all relevant information needed by developers and housing associations together in one place.

The hub is split into a number of sections and gives helpful advice on areas including land availability, funding polices and support available from the Council and central government.

It also explains why Trafford is an exciting and vibrant area for developers, how to apply for planning approval and when or if it is required. The site can be accessed here Developer hub (trafford.gov.uk)

Trafford Council is committed to providing high quality and affordable homes in the borough and launched the hub to help developers and housing associations fully understand the development process.

Cllr Liz Patel, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, said: “Trafford Council is committed to improving and redeveloping town centres and building more affordable homes across our borough. The hub is an online tool to help builders and developers navigate the development process more smoothly.

“We want to make the process as simple as possible and the hub is there to explain everything that developers need to know.”
