Nominate your unsung Trafford women

Awards that celebrate the amazing work being done by women in Trafford are taking place on Saturday 9 March.

Trafford International Women’s Day awards take place from 6-9pm at Flixton Girls School – just a day after International Women’s Day.

Trafford Councillor Jo Harding is again organising and hosting the event, which pays tribute to women’s achievements across the borough.

Also in attendance will be Waterloo Road actress Sue Vincent. Sue has also appeared in dramas The Madame Blanc Mysteries and Alma’s Not Normal, as well as Coronation Street and Eastenders.

Cllr Harding said:

“Sue is a passionate advocate for women and is really looking forward to joining us.

“I am delighted to once again host this event that celebrates the achievements of many unsung Trafford women.”

  • Above & Beyond

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
