Trafford community and voluntary controlled schools proposed 2023 admission arrangements

Any admission authority that wishes to amend its arrangements for admission in 2023 must carry out the required consultation. Consultation must be for a minimum of six weeks and must take place between 1 October and 31 January of the school year before those arrangements are to apply. For arrangements which are to apply for entry in September 2023, consultation must be completed by 31 January 2022. The final admission arrangements must be determined annually, whether they have been changed or not, by 28 February in the determination year.

The admissions criteria are proposed unchanged. However, the LA proposes an increase to the Published Admission Number (PAN) of Firs Primary School from 60 to 90.

This consultation is published in order to ensure that all interested parties can be aware of, and comment on, the admission arrangements.

Consultees are invited to consider and comment on the relevant policies listed below:

The consultation period will begin on Friday 8 October 2021.

Any comments or objections must be received by 18 November 2021 to:

Marilyn Golding,
School Admissions,
Waterside House,
Sale,
M33 7ZF

Or emailed to school.admissions@trafford.gov.uk

All comments and objections will be considered through Trafford’s democratic process and the final admission arrangements will be determined by 28 February 2022.
