Compostable bags

To help you recycle your food waste, we provide each household with a roll of 52 compostable bags annually.
This is delivered in November or December, alongside the regular collection calendar.
Get more compostable bags
You can request another roll of compostable bags online. We will deliver these as soon as stock becomes available.
Our crews are unable to leave a replacement roll on collection day if you have left a yellow tag on your bin. This is because of supply issues.
Buying from supermarkets
You can also purchase replacement rolls from some supermarkets. Ensure the bags include the number, EN 13432, and the seedling logo (as pictured).
Bags described as degradable or biodegradable are not compostable and therefore unsuitable. Don't use newspapers either, as this can stop or slow down the composting process.
